Travel Copilot — Privacy Policy

Overview

Travel Copilot recommends the best thing to do right now on your trip. It is built to work without accounts, tracking or ads: no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no selling of personal data. We operate no servers of our own.

What stays on your device

• Your trip and journal: the trip you create, your preferences, and the journal of places you've done or skipped are stored only on your device (and in your device backups). We have no access to them.
• Step count: with your permission, the app reads today's step count and walking distance from Apple Health to pace recommendations to your energy. Health data is never transmitted anywhere, and the app never writes to Health.
• Location: your location is used on the device to find nearby places and local weather. The app never sends your coordinates to us.

What leaves your device

• Apple services: nearby places come from Apple Maps and weather from Apple WeatherKit; those requests are made through Apple's frameworks under Apple's privacy policy.
• AI features (Travel Copilot Pro): when the app writes an arrival brief for a place, the place's name, category and city are sent to OpenAI's API to generate the text. When you use Ask AI, your questions and light trip context (city, day of trip, weather, step count, place names) are sent the same way. This content is not linked to your identity — no account, device identifier or precise coordinates are included. OpenAI processes it under the OpenAI API data policy; API data is not used to train their models.
• Purchases: the lifetime unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Your choices

• Location and Health permissions can be revoked anytime in iOS Settings; the app keeps working with reduced context.
• Ending a trip (Profile → Trip details → End this trip) deletes that trip and its journal from the device.
• Deleting the app deletes all app data on the device.

Children's privacy

The app is a general-audience travel tool and is not directed at children under 13.
